Connect Google Ads and GA4

One Google sign-in connects both Google Ads and GA4. What each permission means, how manager (MCC) accounts are listed, and how to disconnect.

Google Ads and GA4 connect through the same Google sign-in, so one connection is enough for both audits.

Before you start

  • Sign in with the Google account that can see the Ads account or GA4 property you want to audit.
  • Any access level that lets you see the account's reports is enough.

Connect and run the audit

  1. Go to Run audit and choose Google Ads or GA4.
  2. Sign in with Google and approve both permissions: Google Ads, and read-only Google Analytics.
  3. Pick the Ads accounts or the GA4 property. If you signed in with a Google Ads manager (MCC) login, the client accounts under it are listed too, grouped under the manager's name, and you can search them by name or ID.
  4. The audit starts on our servers. You can leave the page; the report is in Audit history when it's done.

Manager (MCC) accounts

  • Signing in with a manager login lists the client accounts under it, at every level, so you don't need a separate login for each client.
  • Client accounts are listed for up to 25 manager accounts per sign-in. If your login has more, the page says so.
  • Each Google Ads account you connect counts toward your plan's account limit, whether you reach it directly or through a manager. The manager account itself isn't listed or counted, and neither are GA4 properties.
  • Disconnecting an account in Settings → Integrations frees its place.

What the permissions mean

Google's Ads permission doesn't come in a read-only version, so the consent screen says AuditRoger could manage your campaigns. It doesn't: AuditRoger only reads. The Analytics permission is read-only (analytics.readonly).

Disconnect

In Settings → Integrations, Disconnect deletes the stored access token. Reports you've already run stay, and you'll need to connect again before the next audit. You can also remove AuditRoger under Third-party apps & services in your Google Account.
