Amazon PPC auditBeta

Sponsored Products spend, against your real break-even.

Amazon PPC audit
There's nothing to connect: you upload a report, and it isn't stored.
  • No orders after enough clicks that two would be expected
  • Spend higher than your average cost per order
  • Suggested as negative exact
.xlsx / .csv
file types

Up to 15 MB, as downloaded from the Amazon Ads console.

8+
clicks before a search counts as wasted

More if your conversion rate is low: enough clicks that two orders would be expected.

2+
orders before a search is worth harvesting

Within your target ACoS (or break-even, or the report's average, if you enter neither), and not already an exact keyword.

What the audit finds

Six lists, each ready to act on in your campaigns.

Searches that never sell

  • No orders after enough clicks that two would be expected
  • Spend higher than your average cost per order
  • Suggested as negative exact

Searches that sell at a loss

  • ACoS more than 5% over your break-even (above 31.5% for a 30% break-even)
  • The spend above break-even, for each search
  • Shown when you enter your break-even ACoS

Searches to harvest

  • 2 or more orders within your target ACoS
  • Found by auto, broad or phrase campaigns
  • Not yet bought as an exact keyword

Product targets

  • ASINs that sell, to target on purpose
  • ASINs that don't, to negate

Overlap

  • The same search getting clicks in 2 or more campaigns
  • So your campaigns stop competing for it

Words that never sell

  • A word or pair of words in 3 or more searches with no orders, and at least an average order's cost in spend
  • Suggested as negative phrase

Questions

Why upload a report instead of connecting?
A direct connection needs approval for Amazon's Advertising API. Until then, the search term report has everything this audit needs.
Which report does it read?
The Sponsored Products search term report. It needs the Customer Search Term, Clicks, Spend, Sales and Orders columns, which Amazon includes by default.
What does Beta mean here?
The checks are complete, but the audit has been run on fewer real reports than the Google Ads and GA4 audits. If a report won't read, email it to hello@auditroger.com and we'll fix the parser.
